For more than 800 years, Dobričić grapes have been cultivated on the island of Šolta. Its distinctive dark skin and intense color create anunfogettable bold, opulents taste with ample tannins.Unknown to most wine lovers,it wasnt until 2002 that DNA testing revealed that “black” wine from Kaštela (Crljenak Kaštelanski) is the original of Zinfandel! And that Šoltas own Dobričić and Crljenak Kaštelanski created Plavac Mali, the country s most widely known red wine. Today, the Purtić family is one of only a handful of wine-makers to bring this legendary wine back to life, together with another legendary white wine, Pošip .
