Traveling to Šolta by ferry is the easiest and most affordable way to reach the island. The Split ferry port is conveniently located in the city center, just a few hundred meters from Diocletian’s Palace.
You can purchase your ferry tickets at the Jadrolinija offices or online at www.jadrolinija.hr. Booking online is highly recommended as it allows you to skip the line and go straight to the ferry. Simply show your digital ticket on your mobile device when boarding.
As you approach the ferry terminal, you’ll see several electronic displays showing departure times, destinations, ferry names, and berth numbers. Look for the destination Rogač – the name of Šolta’s main port. If you’re unsure, don’t hesitate to ask the friendly port staff for assistance.
Advance reservations are not required, as there is usually plenty of space for foot passengers. The ferry includes both an indoor lounge and an outdoor deck where you can relax and enjoy the view.
The journey takes 50 to 60 minutes, and ticket prices range between €4.40 and €5.70, depending on the season.
